Ac infinity ai controller could be a Crop Steering Controller!!

I have the ai controller, soil moisture probe and the ac infinity outlet (the irrigation water pump plugs into to turn on and off). I got this equipment in hopes of having the controller take care of my grow environment and a simple moisture based crop steering irrigation system. But it lacks a simple thing they could update very easy but it's going to take multiple people to message/email ac infinity for them to care. So if you think this should be updated please message ac infinity directly. This is the message I wrote them below.

The ac infinity ai controller needs an update! The moisture soil probe only allows you to set the low trigger point to turn on the ac infinity outlet that my feed pump is plugged into. It needs to have a high trigger point to make it useful for a crop steering strategy. So I would set the low trigger point to 35% and high trigger point to 65%. So when the low trigger point is reached it would do multiple irrigation shots over the set amount of time until the high trigger point is reached then stop until the low trigger point is reached the next day. Please make this update

It’s a good thought in theory. BUT, here’s what happens in reality with systems like that …

Your pump kicks on when your moisture level drops to 35%. Ok, perfect.
It keeps running til you get to 65% (in theory). In practice, your field capacity changes frequently. So your roots have expanded, your field capacity is now 63%. Now your pump will keep running forever, trying to hit a 65% field capacity which it will never achieve. Empty sump, flooded floor.

None of the “real” (I.e super expensive) crop steering systems fertigate based on the moisture probes. It’s just too risky and unpredictable.
It’s not like they haven’t tried, but it’s just not practical. Good thought though!
