there are many nutes that have glucose in them for your reason..sugar daddy is one that i keep handy. 0-0-0 has small amounts of magnesium and sulfur..but should give you that sugar boost you want..

I've had luck using "sugar in the raw" packets from starbucks. i usually dilute some in hot water. been almost 2 weeks and pretty crystals are showing up more and more =)
