Advanced nutrients - Kushie Kush

I grabed a magazine from my dispensary this weekend and found an ad for advanced nutrients product called kushie kush. its a strain specific nutrient for the kush strain, only sold in legal dispensaries. the ad states that it is scientificaly designed for medical marijauna specificaly the kush strain. has anyone heard of this product and does anyone use it at the moment? does anyone have any info on this product, it looks like advanced nutrients is producing a few different products specifiaclly designed for cannabis. would it be worth looking into? I am going to do a little research on the products but am wondering if theres anyone with experience with these products.

Its a relatively new product but don't believe the hype, you can pick it up online at a few hydro suppliers. I know a couple of people who are doing some tests runs with the kushie kush now and they seem to be happy so far.

Hey captainkush, thanks for the reply. you know i am one that doesnt believe in hype, and thats exactly why im asking if anyone has used the product....but, i also know that companies are starting to offer plant specific nutrients (cannabis) and i would think that if something was specificaly designed for it, then it could be something useful. kinda like orchid specific nutrients, or palm specific nutrients. i know that you can use many types of nutes on many types of plants, but i also know that the orchid specific nutes do a better job for your orchids than a non specific nutrient because its targeted at what the orchid is using or needing. with that in mind i am very interested in info on this kushie kush product.

please keep us updated on your buddies test runs with this product, i think that alot of people would be interested to hear how its performing, i know i would.

My apologies if I was unclear, when I said don't believe the hype, I only meant that their ads lead people to believe that the product is only available through dispensaries which is not true.

Also, I want to point out that I am not a fan of any one particular companies nutes over another, my motto is "whatever works" and I dont go for "magic bullets" or silly "half the work, twice the results" gimicks. I tried such things when I started years ago and to be blunt, they wasted time, money, effort and good genetics. I am weary of AN's claims because they are over the top. Also, part of me feels that when a company has a good product, word of mouth is the way its advertised. AN seems to spend an enormous amount of money on advertising as I have seen multiple full 2 page ads in the same canna mag. Ad space like that isnt cheap. If they could really deliver all of what they claim people would be screaming AN from the rooftops. I know a few growers who swear by it, will ONLY us AN, they grow good smoke but I have seen the same quality from smoke grown with cheap general hydro nutes.

Like you guys I am waiting for my buddies to complete their current runs. They are master growers anyways so their plants are always burly but one of them is actually doing a side by side, same strains, techniques, etc. Only difference is the kushie kush.

CK, no offense taken.. i feel the same about some nutrient companies thats for sure, and am wondering if the same is true for AN. i also think it would be imorral for them to target the medical arena with false claims, but dont you think if that is what they were doing, the bad word of mouth would travel faster than their marketing could keep up with? that would be detrimental to their reputation, and business. once its out that a company is using unethical tactics, especially in the medical arena it would mean death to their company?

these are exactly the reasons im looking for users of this product to wade through the B.S. and find out the truths.

also if you could, i'd love to hear the progress from your mate thats doing the head to head testing, i love that master growers are doing some testing here.. please keep us updated.

Just picked up my first bottle of Kushie Kush today. According to the label, it's got all the same ingredients as Big Bud, plus a few more. It has a slightly different P-K ratio as well. I've had great results from Big Bud with this same strain.

I currently am going to use the Kushie Kush by AN. The reasons being (of course cuz I have kush going right now) also like previously said the N-P-K is different than the GH or other brands out there. Also the Kushie Kush has micronutrients in different amounts than the GH systems. Although a lot of companies think P (phosphorus) was needed in HIGH amounts during flowing, AN did tissue samples and abundant research and found that not only is that wrong but the ratios of most NPK nutes were way off.

There is a video out right now explaining all of this but in short, their findings showed that cannibis uses more nitrogen and potash during flowering than phos. The ratio in Kushie kush is 1-7-17 which makes it .41 or 40% phos to potash. Of course these ratios of nutrient uptake is varied by strain/genetics of the plants u r growing.

Anyhow, I am currently going to do a side by side comparison with K.K. (by AN) and another set of ratios put together by GH (which would have high Phos). You can follow my findings/research on the "Newbie" Forum which is where I posted my beginnings of the grow and will keep updated.

Im using Kushie kush on my purple kush right now, and id say in the last 4 weeks ive noticed a 10-20% increase in bud size and resin. Lovin it!

i went to a local hydro store it wasnt no fuckin medical marijuana shit place even tho im licensed under prop 215 as a patient of medical cannabis...anyways i dont have any "kush" strains but i have kushie kush and OMFG blastoff ive never seen yeilds like this on a sativa in my LIFE!!! recommended to the fullest!! i also use sensi grow and bloom parts A & B i have bud candy which i also recommend!! i grow my plants outside they get exactly 13 hours of full sunlight because my fucking house is blocking the sun... so even at that my plants look beautiful all have been topped countless times and i cut all the leafs except for the middle one i find that it grows all of the plant that way not just the tops!! very satisfied grower. i have a 400 watt florecent tube but truthfully u guys ive been growing in and out and all i can say is THERE ARE NO SPIDERMITES OUTSIDE!!! i dont know why they just attack my plants when i put them in a closet so i say outdoors is the way to go if you have alot of that shit going on and plus well help the earth get rid of some of this goddamn co2!!! GROW OXYGEN!!! and cannabis and im really high...so theres your answer go buy it shit...ok bye my roor is waiting for me

Kushi Kush came from the North. Advanced Nutrients is from Brittish Columbia

forget the snake oil and get a bag of micronized KMAG. I mainly grow kush and it's a whore when it comes to mag and potassium. All kush as a matter of fact. Dont pay for water bro!!

if you are mid term or beyond then yes this is the time that any strain packs on resin production. the grow lights also matter as far as resin is concerned. The resin is actually a "sun screen" and protects the plants tissue from damaging UV.

the nute companies PREY on NEWBS.. and the same with hydro store owners.. they will tell u oo u need to feed this much .. and use these 50 bottles an by the way they go bad.. so wen they expire come and by a new bottle.. haa.. really they are thieves.. even the soil is OVERPRICED... and then whoever that hydrostore gets the most free shit from.. or best deals is what they push.. in my area the stores like to push CANNA Nutes.. and dont get me wrong.. there great nutes.. butttt if u follow everythin the hydrostore guy or the nute companies say.. ud be spending 1000s on nutes every single grow....

the only thing i can say is.. most of the nutes in bottles can be made by yourself for 1/10th the price.. i actually bought 10 liters of bio canna flores from another grower who bought so much that they expired before he could use them.. i bought 10 liters for 90$ . and it worked just as well as the liter i bought brand new and did a test on half the plants in the room with expired .. half with new.. and SAW 0 DIFFERENCE. WEIRD HUH?
