Advanced nutrients questions

Okay, so up until now I've always used Canna aqua vega and Canna aqua flores along with rhizotonic. But my buddy who got me into growing in the first place swears by Advanced Nutrients which I know are some of the best stuff available so I'm all for trying it but the list of additives etc that he says to use seems like too much to be using.

Hopefully someone who has used these can give me some insight and tell me if using them all together is wise or just some of them.
1. Connoisseur part A and B.
2.Bud Blood.
3.Big Bud.
4.Overdrive.
5.Bud Factor X
6.Rhino Skin.
7.Piranha.
8.Tarantula.
9.Voodoo Juice.
10.Bud Candy.
That is everything he suggest I use at different phases of plant growth. most of them are for roots or bloom enhancers. Now for this grow I'm only using a single Water Farm Unit with probably 1.5 gallons in the res. Seems like alot of stuff to be adding. Hope someone can shed some light.

advanced is a great nutrient line to use. The reason they hold down the top spot in the industry, is because they break down their nutrients into separate parts. When you have an all in one or two part Grow, Bloom, feed it doesn't work as effectively as has been proven. I don't see it as necessary to introduce 20 different additives. You could use conno a/b and pick a couple of the additives, I would snag the voodoo, budcandy, and bigbud. These should get you started on the right track and in the future you can add more as you see fit. I have spoken to AN support reps and they reccommend feeding at half strength twice a week. I was feeding every other day, but my plants like the breaks in feeding schedule they are on now, and i am conserving a lot of nutes. Good luck i'm sure you'll be happy with your results!

all you need is any of there base line and big bud/b52 and overdrive, also rhino is awsome to.
Yo rhinoskin is a silica, a silica is a natural ph up, I add rhinoskin and my goddamn ph goes down, I use silica blast now and it def raises ph. Other than that you got it right.

I've used the whole line of AN for a year now with great results every time. I've used every single one on your list except budblood. I recommend sensi grow and sensi bloom for base nutrients. I've had side by side comparison with sensi bloom and connoisseur line and there was no difference so buy the sensi bloom because it's cheaper. Rhino skin is ok but you can get dyna grow protekt for the same benefit but cheaper. Bud factor x is BS. The rest is cool. Get your feet wet. If money is not a issue, then do it. I did it because I had deals on them. I'm not a AN hater but if you do some research, you can find cheaper nutrients with complete elements or close to AN nutrients ratio. I am now doing a side by side comparison with AN complete line and jacks classic with dyna grow/bloom/protekt on coco medium. Cheers and let me know if you have questions.

I just returned 10 liters of sensibloom a and 10 of sensibloom b, still waiting credit, if they don't exchange this shit I'm pouring it down the drain, lets face it, the shits expensive enough to put a goddamn REAL expiration date on it and not some coded number only AN knows that mean. I for one am switching to canna.

I run dwc hydro but I already plan to run half strength and slowly bring them up. thanks for the info bro. I think I'll run the connoisseur A and B and start off trying two root additives and two bloom enhancers instead of all ten like he wants me too. preciate the help.

Well, all of the stuff listed there I can get off of Ebay in the smallish bottles for a total of 215 with free shipping. Yeah some of the stuff like bud factor and rhino skin I didn't see as very necessary so I'll probably forgoe those. Now when you say side by side comparison are we talking two clones from the same mum under the same conditions? If thats the case I can get the sensi gro and sensi bloom for the price of the connoisseur.

Wait, AN doesn't have expiration dates? hmmm thats the same prob im having with Canna. I have some leftover Canna aqua vega and aqua flores with a date stamp of 28/05/11 on them which i can only assume is an expiration date. theyve always been kept in the dark. I was wanting to run the canna aqua vega for veg and then switch to AN for flower just because I don't like to waste.

Bennies aren't really needed in hydro if you keep your temperatures right. Voodoo juice is overpriced for the hydro user other than that you kinda have it right, drop the voodoo juice and add b52 , the bud candy and big bud are good stuff but theres certainly other alternatives that are cheaper, after over a year on the AN bandwagon I intend to try some different stuff. Sounds like kbo is a dirtboi and pushing expensive AN products that really do nothing in hydro other than displace the bad shit that develops IF temps aren't kept in check,

AN has started putting stickers on the bottom of the bottles with expiration date but those could be easily modified or just removed, they're silly little stickers :/

which ones you talking about? This has been predominately an Advanced Nutrients post.
Well, I can only assume that is an expiration date as I bought these nutes back in early 2009 I just dont know if it is a hardline expiration date or just a best buy date and after that date they start to loose potency. shoulda made that part clearer. and yeah he is a hardcore soil grower which is why I came straight to the hydro boys to try and weed out the additives that aren't really necessary for my application.
I'm not bashing Canna but it does seem like no matter what strain I grow my plants are always nute sensitive in some form or fashion which is another reason I wanna try another nutrient lineup to better determine if its my nutrient selection or something I'm doing.

Ha! your from Colorado! Born in Boulder raised in Yuma. Moving back in two years can't wait to have a legal grow op.

Good luck having a decent grow with the limits they put on you, sometimes I wish I'd just have stayed under radar, fucking silly politicians , but anyway I just went to take another look at the last plant I have in flower thats in shit AN nutrients , was expecting word on my exchange from my hydro shop yesterday so I could install my monster ebb(which I just bought from said hydro store) but he's left me hanging and my plant seems to be dieing slowly , was told I used to much nutrient so I cut it back, way back (600-700 ppm) and I'm still having the problem after putting another plant in flower. I am DONE with AN shit.
