Soil Grow: 25% Coco + Worm Castings; 50% Perlite.
15L Fabric pots

"Super Skunk" Auto + fem

Age: Very roughly; 2.5-3 weeks?

SF-1000W; 18/6, considering 24/0

Temps rising/falling between 22-30c, no option for control currently.

Being a complete newbie, seems very stumpy + close spacing between new leaves.

My photos are poor, just figuring out a camera app that plays nice with my phone.

Vague commentary, general advice and verbal lashings appreciated!

Cheers

What are you feeding it? How often are you watering?

You should've done without the castings. It make the medium heavier. Coco itself is awesome. I use coco as the base of my "soil", but I amend it as an organic soil including castings.

Cheers for the fast response.

To date I've only given it water, again very roughly every 2-3 days.

Top 1-2" is always bone dry, but as I check lower it does still seem fairly moist, so I water fairly little. Got the fans blowing the pot also to help.

I layered the soil with most ewc at the base and gradually declining upwards through the soil but there's still some near the top. Guessing that's why it still feels damp lower down?

While trying to figure out what to do for soil I had read just those 3 in combo should be able to sustain a grow and shouldn't require too much interference (RQS, Dinafem or some site) , but again full n00b and figuring as I go.

Feel free to tell me I'm wildly wrong by the way.

Not averse to giving nutrients, just trying to keep it simple. Have killed with kindness before.

What would you recommend NPK/Amendment wise? I'll source the closest for whatever is local (Aus)

Still going:

  • I have watered twice with the powerfeed in the images; 2.5ml in a litre, 500ml each feed. (WA Specific)
  • Washed once with plain water, 600ml or so yesterday.
Some leaves curling up, but pretty confident it's windburn, strong fan and small area.

I am thinking I'll need to start LST? Bend to the edge of the pot and start circling my way around. Good idea? Alternative?

Suprised it's lasted this long, so a success in my books regardless.
