Advice on 1st grow...scrog or not.

I am just beginning to set up my 1st grow. It will be in a basement room (5.5wx6lx8h) with a 1000w.

I am stuck between going with a scrog grow with more plants in a shorter time period or just growing less plants longer and as large as I can.

Is 1 plant per sqft the max for scrog?


Before I start I thought I would try and get some input. Anything is appreciated.

Honestly for your first grow I would just try to get the basics down. I have a close friend that grows and I'm still having some minor issues with mine.
