Advice on making oil for carts and gummies

What’s up guys. I’ve played around with pretty much everything so I’ll try to get to the point. lol. I see so many different ways.
Goals - oil for carts and oil for gummies.
I make plenty of edibles with canna butter (coconut oil)
What I read is QWEP is the way to go
What I’ve done to experiment and what I have on hand
-freeze bud and 200proof etoh
-quick rinse
-filter through coffee filter
-back in freezer and repeat ie pour the solute back through the bud on the filter? (I didn’t do this I poured it through a clean filter)
-Pyrex dish in a crock pot as a double boiler
-evaporate the etoh (how much do you want off. It was pretty playable
-vacuum purge on a heat mat (here I went too long and it was like a mix of shatter and glass blobs and it sucked but I was trying to dab it.

Questions- by heating the etoh off isn’t that essential decarbing?
-the vacuum purging. Is this done on a heat mat? Can I vacuum purge while I’m evaporating the etoh?
-once I have my distillate and let the etoh evaporate out. Once it is all out I would be left with shatter correct? How do I get this into a liquid to put into carts? And the same with measuring for the gummies. With my butter I can judge 28g of weed into 8TBS of butter etc

I’m also going to make some bubble hash later today and press it once it’s dry for rosin but that gotta wait for drying etc when I can whip this up tonihht for some treats. Thanks all!!

The only way I know how to make carts without adding a liquifier is with hash rosin you have to make the rosin then put it into a large enough jar or container then keep it at 180° for 30-48hrs. Strain dependant
Not sure what etoh is? If it's alcohol then be prepared to cause some damage to your vac pump while pulling out alcohol vapour and you'll have to change your vacuum pump oil. It's also pretty dangerous.
I've never once tasted oil made with alcohol that tasted as good as butane or CO2 extraction. I've also never seen someone make carts out of shatter without using a liquifier which imo is whack. I won't smoke that shit. No thanks.

Yeah Etoh. ethanol
Dang it’s all the methods I saw and I had the ethanol. Plenty of trim. Read a lot of stories. Right now I have ecto cooler 100 proof thc lol. Jumped right in. I did multiple washes and definitely sucked the chlorophyll out. I saw people run it through activated carbon but welll. I ignored it lol

Ya I prefer to use a less harsh solvent that tends to pull less garb through leaving you with a more pure oil.
I freeze my tube filled with bud, and also toss the butane into the deep freeze overnight before the run. I find that makes a diff. When I dab, there is no black left over in the banger. It's a clean burn.

how does it cause damage to the pump? i know about changeing the pump oil. but never herd of damage from solvent

butane is a much better extraction solvent for oils as above, that or a co2 extraction rig, but you must heat the resulting oil to get rid of excess butane. very important, leave the extraction fluid out in the sun for a few hours to get rid of chloraphyl and rest the jar/flask of oils into warm water to heat it up and butane will evap away

With oil rotary pumps many vapors condense in the pump oil. Solvents in the oil degrade its performance (and eventually ruin the pump), create a chemical hazard when the oil is changed, and are emitted in an oil mist vented from the system. Other vapors pass directly into the exhaust stream.

I prefer to vac purge after the slab evaps the majority of the butane and is just semi runny/bubbling. Then I vac and drop vac until it stops mushrooming and run the vac to -29.9hg leave it overnight then flip the slab, and do the same thing until there's no more bubbles. I keep the heat at 90 for the first day and bump to 100 for the last day. Ill generally keep it on for 48hrs
My setup is pretty tight. I run the vac chamber inside a giant soup pot filled with water. I strap the handles of the vac chamber to the handles of the soup pot and there's a pot riser underneath so it's not metal on metal. Then I fill the soup pot with water to keep a more even temp through the whole vac chamber. It's heated with a heat mat and pid controller that's round and sticks to the underside of the soup pot (although I don't actually peel and stick the adhesive I just use it loose underneath.). It's one of those ones meant for vac chambers. I keep an aquarium thermometer in the soup pot to ensure the temp is dead nuts.
