I have 5 small plants growing and I started them in rockwool and then put them into big rockwool. These are suppose to be my mothers and I was going to go hydro but the guy at the local shop said that the cubes I used are to big and the roots will rot. my question is should I just keep feeding them in the cubes that are sitting on a well drained container or just put them into soil and go hydro with my clones. Thanks for any help

its ur decision bro, u know ur setup better than i do, if its all draining perfectly you shouldnt need to worry but if u are worried about it just put your cubes in soil and let it grow.

How big are your rockwool cubes? What type of Hydro system are you considering?

Once roots are established the rockwool does not even have to touch the water - your roots grow through the rockwool and into your grow media.
I use rockwool cubes in pots with hydroton (clay pellets) in my ebb and flow, as well as deep water culture set-ups.

i have used plenty of rockwool with my hydro... mysterC - i usually peel off as much of the rockwool as i can(untill i start seeing roots) as to get the piece of rockwool as small as i can... i then put that into my net pot with hydroton... im using an ebb n flow system now.. but my next grow will be switching to deep water colture in single buckets.. i find it alot easier to manage ur plants... but to each there own...
