aerocloner cut or scrape the stem?

my aerocloner says to cut shallow cuts down the skin of the stem. and not to scrape it. it did root faster when I made cuts only. is this the norm?

can go both ways really depends on how shallow your scraping, keep practicing making the scrape as thin as possible and you will find that scraped clones will root more prolifically not faster.

as for what you did being the "norm" why yes yes it is, the norm is relevant skill level and since most scrape incorrectly yes thats the norm
