Ok so im setting the room up tomorrow ill try and get some pics up.
Im gona test the badboy T5s with the aeroflo2.
Both are claimed to be the baddest of them all.
Ive done the aerflo before and its done amazing results. Issues i did have were heat... and mad electricity use.
So i added up and did the math:
2 1000w ballasts 19 amps
1 t5 8 bulb 5 amps
1 150w hps 1 amp
1 t5 4 bulb for mums 2 amps
1 240 cfm fan 1 amp
1 435 cfm fan for tubes 1 amp
Various pumps timers monitors fans etc maybe 1 amp
So thats 30 amps go figure my electric is 300$ plus.
I know amps dont attribute to cost but its a round guess. For every amp on 120v seems to be about 100 watts. (Guessing im no expert)
Now with the new setup:
2 4 bulb badboys for sidelights(both sides this time) 4 amps
2 12 bulb badboys 12 amps
1 canfan filter 1 amp
1 4 bulb t5 mums 2 amps
Various again maybe 1 amp
Turns out to be more like 20 amps.
Just guessing but should cut my bill down...
Some of the obvious pros to the badboy:
Less electricity for lighting
Can get much closer to plants
More light spread
VERY LOW HEAT
no need for cooltube fan to exaust so less electricity.
Only need to exaust 15 min an hour so 3/4 electricity for exaust i had to run it before 24/7.
Also with the low need to exaust i can introduce co2 finally.
Also "CLAIMS" to double yeild.
No need for all the ducting that air cooled hoods and cooltubes need.
I personally liked my old hid but new times new ways right.
So these monsters with the aeroflo should be interesting.
My temps before w cooltubes and exausting 24/7 still almost reached 90° peek hours and last time i still managed to fry my tops....
So:
two aerflo 30s
2 badboy 4 bulbs sidelights
2 badboy 12 bulbs main lights
Canfilter exaust 240 cfm fan
prozyme Gh nutes (havent decided 3 part or lucas)
60 plants
1 osc fan
RO water
Pretty much it pretty basic and from what people say theyre both extrordinary but ive never seen the two together so im gona try.
Should be up and running within two weeks.
Anyone tried any of these or suggestions leme kno.
