My rockwool seems to be over watered by the aerogardens constant drip system. I dont have anymore of the medium that came with the aerogarden. If there a solution to this? Thanks

Go to WM and buy some foam pillows, just cut to the desired size and bam... you got media again....

I tried using rockwool on the AG and killed 2 clones due to over-watering...

After your roots reach the water, disconnect the pump... or you might have stem rot from being too wet...

I say this from experience... though I do not claim to know a lot...

Hope this helps...

thing is tho with the foam media we ran it under constant water and we grew successfully numerous times (even when the roots were in the water) but now that we have switched to rockwool its almost like its stunts our plants growth..but u say I should actually turn the pump off when the roots have reached the water?

yeah turn the pump off, soaked rockwool cannot hold any oxygen. oxygen is extremely important to you plants health. Once the plants roots have gotten to the water it will basically be DWC style of hydro. you can occasionally give the rockwool some water after that, just a little bit 1 time per day to keep it somewhat moist.

We my roots on my plants arent actually in the water yet but the rockwool is drenched..so im going to turn off the water pump...but when is the next time i should turn it on or how long for how many times a day I should say...all help is appreciated

edit: turn the pump off by jus popping the hood off the prongs right?

With the pump off and an airstone inside, the bubbles bursting at the surface will still keep the rockwool wet... and that is exactly the problem....

Better to just not use rockwool in the AG...in my opinion....

Rockwool should never be WET... just damp....
If you are using an airstone and keep your res topped off, the same bubbles that drench the rockwool will will wet the sponge... just enough....

Oh and I would not mess with the prongs or anything like that, just unplug it from the wall... by now you should be using a 8 figure cord to run your lights through a timer anyways....

I hope this helps.... just get some foam....

Cheers...
