So my clone guy brought over 2 extras a while back called afgahni bullrider. I asked him what they were and he said he didn't exactly know, "I smoked it and had to get it...took me over a year to find it.". It's going great and the pistils are turning purple now. I didn't expect a purple strain, to be honest I didn't know what to expect. I heard bullrider has a story behind it. Is mine a cross with afgahni like "alien kush" was, or the original thing? What do you guys know about it?

if your friend doesn't know, we don't know. just harvest and smoke it. go smoke some alien, and then smoke some legit afghani bullrider, tell us what is the difference.

If he says it's afgahni bullrider than I fully trust that it is exactly that to the best of his knowledge. All he does is clones and has nothing but top notch genes. He has a few select strains such as this that he doesn't give to anyone. I have known him for a while and they were gifts.

Alien kush is (alien tech x LVPK) and has nothing to do with bullrider. I used it as a comparison story. Alien tech is the original and alien kush a cross. but there is no alien tech anymore, just alien kush. Is the original just bullrider and my cross is the only thing left? I thought the seeds that "bullrider" in the story brought back might have been afghani so thats why I was hoping mine might be original. Maybe someone who knows the strain well could chime in.

This is the story of the Afgani Bullrider i dont know if its true but i read it in my HightTimes Medical Strain Book!!! So this is the story! There was a cowboy who was a professional Bull Rider that was passionate about growing weed. As the story goes, this Bullrider traveled allot and knew at least one serious grower from overseas who bestowed the seeds upon him, after which he arrived in California and grew the plant to full-strength and cured it, then the bull-rider and some friends smoked some of the bud, after which one of the friends remarked that he felt like he’d just been riding a bull – bam!
The Afghani Bullrider name stuck and ever since the late ’80′s the strain found it’s way all over California in clone form. At one point someone even created Hats and T-shirts to commemorate the great strain. Growers as far away as Oregon and Vancouver managed to get their hands on either the seeds or the clones as the Afghani Bullrider strain made it’s way far and wide. However, it’s Southern California where the climate provides an endless budding season, all you need to do is place a clone outside and it will begin to produce buds. As with most indica-dominant strains the Afghani Bullrider will reach maturity within 8 weeks or less and deliver an impressive harvest.

Nice. That's pretty much what I heard. They are just starting to flower and look so good. Definitely going to be some color in there. I'll try to get some pics up.

Everything about her screams afghani. The smell and bud structure is identical to sensi's afghani#1 I grew years ago. Except it didn't have the purple stigmas like my bullrider.

My new favorite...what a blast to see her grow. I'm going to try her in a NFT setup next indoor and scog her out.
