Air Conditoning Problem, Need Help

I use a window air conditioner in my grow room. I set the desired temperature and use the energy save mode. Assuming that when the temp rises above the desired setting the air conditioner will just kick on and shut off when the selected temp has been restored. For some reason it doesn't work like that in my room.

I have tried two new air conditioners and they both have the same result. I've read the manuals of the individual units and they haven't been of any help. Has anyone had a similiar issue??

I use a window air conditioner that has the energy saving made where it only turns on when the temp goes above the selected temp and it WORKS GREAT! question for you is do you have an exhaust fan?? and is it running 24/7? if its exhausting 24/7 then that might be your problem because it would be exhausting all that cool air consistantly making your airconditioner work over time consistantly tring to recool the area.....But if your not exhausting air out 24/7 then i dont know why you would have problems....I have my exhaust fan switch on 2 minutes for ever 10 minutes and that seems to work good allows the windo air unit to have time to cool the air in the room before exhausting it and bring in new air.......thats the only thing i can think of that would casue your airconditioner not to preform properly
