Air cooled light set up and carbon filter!!

I am starting my first grow soon and the research has been non stop. I just need a straight forward answer from an experienced grower.

I have read, when using air cooled lights + carbon filter, it is better to have have the carbon filter near intake hole near ground, Then pull air through filter with inline fan, which is connected to ducting which is then connected to light. At the end of the light, filtered air would continue into ducting which would finally exhaust out hole near ceiling.

Am I right? If so, this contradicts the thought that heat/air rises, which would mean the filter should go near exhaust hole, right?

This is my biggest obstacle right now and its killing me. Anything would be appreciated.

I've also read it may be optimal to have two venting systems; one for the light and one for the room itself.

(secret jardin 3x3x5.4, air cooled 600 w, 6-9 plants for scrog.

Are you gonna supplement.co2 like a sealed room deal or just use fresh air into room. Well my light ducting is sealed off from room no air in ducting for lights get into my room. I have a hortishroom filter for intake on ducting. No need for carbon filter if your lights are sealed. A carbon filter also cause an extreme low cfm compared to actual cfm of fan. If yiu are going to condrsntly bring in fresh air I eoumd get s horti shroom filter for intake to keep pollens dust etc from enrering room and xsrbon filter on exhaust to keep air exiting smell free hope it makes n since
