Hi Guys,

I've got normal Reflectors at the moment but on my last grow it got far to hot in there so been thinking about Air Cooled Reflectors but just got a shock when i seen the price of them lol,

anyways do you think it would do any harm if i just convert my normal Reflectors into air cooled?? i mean all it is really so it seems is cut a hole out and put a 6" pipe to suck the air out and some glass at the bottom of the Air Cooled Reflector.

erm is there anything i'm missing ??

what do you guys think??

...be careful, you need special glass...normal glass will break from the heat of the HID bulb....I had a bud that tried this one...his glass fell into his plants. Good luck.

HTG Supply is the shit! I've bought many lights from them. I just received a new 8in. Cooltube yesterday. $157 with built in cord, delivered! I think the 6in. is about $120

i've got 2x600w but just need the air-cooled reflectors to fit them into really seen them online fore round £60 each

No they're magnetic ballasts.... But yes, 400w. And work like a charm..... I still feel like I got a good deal, I mean considering it included the AC hood and cooltube.
Yeah magnetics are cheaper then the digitals.Check htg the magnetics complete system is 119 and i think you can add the a/c reflector for 40 more dollars. So thats under 200 with shipping and everything.
