Air intake?

Any advice on an air intake hole? What size how many. How to prevent light leak. I have 4x2.5x4.5 high box and on 8x8 intake hole with carbon filter covering it. I would like an open air intake hole.

Passive intake should be twice as large as your exhaust. Also 1 large hole is better than a hundred tiny holes.

Hole at bottom of tent. Get a 90 degree piece of ductwork in it to prevent light. Whammo!

I did that with 4 inch back out duck. I can't feel much aIr pulling into the grow box. Maybe 4 inch is to small

I do have 8x8 hole also covered with carbon filter. The problem I'm having is the fan is on high and my temps are rising to 84. Canopy level is low 90s. It has been good. Today the humidy outside is 94%. And 56 in grow room. I would like to be able to control temps with my fan

My fan is 4" so I'm going to go with 8" duck 99% elbow
