Air pruning pots

How so? Roots grow and get exposed to air and get pruned is the definition of air pruning correct?
Those are designed to do that but.... not sure how effective they are at doing so.
I've been eyeballing those air pots pretty hard.
They seem to be a pretty effective but they are kinda pricey and they don't come in white.
I've only used the fabric ones once but wasn't a big fan of the algae build up on the fabric since I got the white ones.

It was worse before I washed it.
Some of the algae was turning blackish.

Might have had something to do with the perlite only grow or the plant not surviving long enough to suck the nutrients out of the excess water. Or that I let the ph drift too much.
That's why I was thinking plastic for this round.
Fabric is cheap and proven to work but I'd like a nice reflective surface whenever I can.

Yeah the plastic ones look nice and neat but I'm guessing all the holes will eventually get clogged up.
I might have to learn to live with green algae fabric pots...

Do you have to worry about nutrient solution temps with a hempy bucket? What about PH drift?
I'm assuming you're getting better growth/yields with the hempy right?

Those black ones look like they could work if you drill more holes in the bottom centre square. They look like they will stack like normal pots too.
The pics below your OP, those are decent air prune pots. However they are not very well made and are a pain in the ass to store unless you collapse them, but that's also a pain in the ass. That said they don't grow algea at all and are easy to clean, unlike the fabric bags.

I'd expect fabric pots to have a negative effect on the rh% they'll be wicking water away from the medium into the environment constantly.
I use lids on my air pots, they stop the wet coco being exposed to the environment, they stop the top drying out aiding salt build up and my roots grow up as well as down.
Cut them an inch bigger than the pot diameter to allow for a bit error on the centre of the pot, if you cut them exactly you need the plants in the exact middle of the pot.
