Air stone question. Help!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and am looking for a little advice.

Currently I have a NFT system with a 20 gallon reservoir. The air stone I have is too large and too loud to suit my needs. I am wondering if I can use two or three smaller air stones connected with the same line to do the same job without the added vibration and noise. If so, do you recommend a particular air stone? Is there something I can get at a local pet shop that would work?

i found using multiple air pumps and multiple air stones reduces the sound... the 6" stick air stones worked good for me...

i use the single round or cylinder type from the hydro store there stone and last for ever.. only $4-5 not expensive at all and very quiet
