Looks like it's growing where little to no light reaches. I've seen this happen before.

It's just because there's no light in there. iron deficiency i believe is why it's pale like that.
Snip, or tuck a leaf or 2 so the light can reach it. or snip it off all together. I'd wait to see if it greened up for you with light first though.
