Has anyone heard of these guys? They are in Pamona Ca. They have a 500w COB made in the USA here's their link http://altaled.com/
I don't know I just found it today and I live in California lol gonna contact them tomorrowBonjour
Wow! The chips look like a caméléon or a very nice rainbow, and 500W...cool and 120lm/W look good, but how much does it cost? And is it efficient as it look cool!??
Have a great day★
Thats what I thought and what driver would you use and what size heat sink lolDamn 15 amps through a single die? Is that a typo? Have to use 12 guage wire just to instal one.
Just curious why anyone hasn't tried them. I just might give them a go after talking with them first. Hell they might give me a chip or 2 too test if not at a deal.Old news.......so is opto /flip chips monster 900w cob.
Innoled sells that same 500w chip for cheaper.
we used to talk about led tech without threatening each other in here back in the day........Hard to believe I know
Effeciency doesn't look that great. 80 LPW at test current.Has anyone heard of these guys? They are in Pamona Ca. They have a 500w COB made in the USA here's their link http://altaled.com/
not enough density for a grow room. 4 foot strip needs 100 - 200 to be practical. fits well as a T8 or t5 fluoro replacement upgrade.redbirdled.com has some interesting strip lights also. Over 140l/w. 4 ft. strips at 44 watts each, for around $80. Also a US company.
what do you think of their 50 watt cobs ?Effeciency doesn't look that great. 80 LPW at test current.
Besides, I'd rather space that light out a bit. 50-80 watts per COB is plenty. The most I run them at is 50.
The versions use the same tech so I think it would be 80 LPW across the board.what do you think of their 50 watt cobs ?
