Aluminum Foil Yay or Nay

Alright I hear a lot of people say not to use aluminum foil because it can reflect too much light and burn the leaves. But then again I look around at picture of beautiful plants and the room is covered in foil. So whats the deal? DOes the type of light being used matter? I got 80watts of CFL, would foil help the situation????

Do not use foil it is a poor reflector. The picture you saw was probably a room with mylar. You need more light to grow 80watts is not enough and no foil will not help use it to wrap food not grow weed. Flat white paint is a cheap alternative to mylar.

To be honest, work with what you've got.

foil will cook yuor plants because it does not allow ventilation. but if your gonna use it make sure the dull side faces the plants

i dont get why people say that foil can burn plants because ive grown twice now with foil and there is no problem with my plants ....there is no heat problem or any reflection problems goin on either....see for urself on my album of pics they are what im growing now with foil but i am going for the white paint option for flowering after i get to find out what sex my plants are.....they are in flowerin stage nw with foil but going to change growroom area/location very soon......
