Amateur granny grower needs help on weird hairy ball buds!

Hi all, just growing 3 outdoor auto flowering plants for own use. Picked 3 varieties as not sure what was best - Northern lights, Royal Gorilla and Amnesia Haze. All feminised and bought via reputable seed company.
Should’ve watched more closely but busy life and I missed sexing them early on as assumed, as feminised, I’d have nothing to worry about.
Now after nearly 10 weeks all 3 plants have developed colas with clusters of sort of ball like buds on them with hairs coming out of the balls - sticky, lots of trichomes, great fragrance.
Is this ok?
I’m just about to harvest as trichomes all cloudy and moving towards 40% amber.
For me even 3 plants is a lot of work - want to be sure these are females!
Any advice/suggestions welcome.

The breeder information is always optimistic bullshit. Don't believe it. You easily have 2-3 weeks. Let them get bigger. However if you get a lot of moisture there watch them for bud rot and powdery mildew starting. Very nice job, your plants look good.
Thank you ☺️! I’m relieved they’re females and delighted they look good to experienced eyes. Unfortunately just lost a plant (different variety) to bug infestation. Luckily plants were in separate areas, but am nervous of losing the rest. Hope they stay healthy for next 2 or so weeks

There is always a loss in chopping early but if you're afraid you'll lose them to weather or bugs you can take one now so you have something and watch the other two like a hawk.

Just to give you some sort of a reference point on ripeness, I asked if this plant was done, and was told 3 to 4 weeks. The breeder says 8 to 9 weeks to complete flowering, and these pics are day 72, so that’s going to put them at around 13 to 14 weeks to finish.

That’s exactly how my autos went. Pack said 8 weeks and took 14.

Iv been searching for a strain that flowers for less than 9-10 weeks. I’m yet to find. I think pure indica landraces might finish it 7-8. But iv never had them or done the research on them

Powdery mildew is from hot dry conditions.

Keep in mind that plants from seed will take longer to finish as they have to mature sexually. The clones from those plants will likely finish closer to the breeders estimate.

edited to add - I think this would apply to autos as well. They still need time to sexually mature before they start to flower.
