Amount of Nutrients for Hempy Bucket

So I'm set on using a hempy bucket setup, but have no idea the types or amounts of nutrients to use and the ratio of nutrients/water to mix for the hempy bucket. This is my first grow and I just want to get the info down before I get to far into it.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with growing in a hempy bucket? What specific nutes do you use and what ratio to water to do you mix them?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

you can use ANY nutes you want! and nutrients say how much to mix per gallon or per liter depends where your from.

Mix the special nutes first into the water, then the grow and bloom.

Check PPM and give it 1 min before you add more to ensure they dissolve. Add more if needed. It's a good idea to add less than needed as it is easier to ADD than to take away nutes from a solution.

When desired PPM is reached check pH. If you need to add pH up or down, wait 1 min and check pH again as you want to be sure it is necessary and some nutes may not have fully dissolved.

Stir again in 1 min, check pH and if needed add your pH up or down.

Then your set.

Thanks for the reply. So growing hydro vs. growing hempy bucket you still use the same amount of nutrients yeah?

I've had a hard time finding what nutes to buy and what specific ones to use for the different cycles of the plant (early stages, veggie, flower). Any specifics on this and what places to buy at?

I def. understanding the PH up and down and keeping the level around 5-6. What ppm do you want to keep it all at?

Thank you so much this place is effin great.

Hempy is a form there of of hydro. You want your water and water/nutes at 6.2 and what is great about the hempy method is that you can use whatever nutes you like, hydro or soil. You do not have to worry about ppm/tds unless you know your water sucks. When you place your plugs into the perlite/verm water them everyday to make sure the roots get water as it will take around 2 weeks for the roots to start filling the bottom of the bucket. At around 7 days you can start using nutes at very little amounts, then work up. Watch you plants, if you see just the hint of yellow, then give them for N. What's great about hempy is that you are in charge, the soil is not. You can fix problems very fast.
Flora nova works awesome as does the lucas formula, and I have used FF as well. They all work great.

When you say give them N do you mean nutrients or Nitrogen. What brand and specific nutes do you use? Website?

Thanks again for the help, greatly appreciated.

I know its an old post....
I just wanted to know the answer to the last question

I use the lucas formula in my hempy buckets. During veg stage use 5ml of general hydroponics floramicro and 10ml of general hydroponics florabloom for each gallon of water. For the flower stage use 8ml of floramicro and 16ml of florabloom. This formula is based on using pure h2o(r/o water). If you are going to be using tap water I would look into the general hydroponics floranova line instead as those are made for hard water. You can search for "lucas formula" for a lot more details.

I usually alternate watering with pure water and nutrients. You can modify that as necessary. During certain periods of heavy flowering I need to feed with nutrients multiple times in a row.

You will want to mix the nutes up fresh each time you feed. Mixing up a big batch of 5gallons would be much easier but you will end up with beasties growing in your nute formula. You don't want that.

I aim for 5.8PH for my hempy buckets.
