Another question about cloning??

I have read the threads and such and have a pretty good idea about the subject although still fuzzy in a few areas....I have done 9 clones, so far 7 have survived. My question is when cloning, do you always have to go for the part of the stem that looks green, I have a plant that has three main stems coming out the bottom, i wanna know if I can clip and clone em! The thing is the now have a barky texture as oposed to the newly grown green parts.....here is a pic.....thanks all

Those would make badass clones, make sure you don't take them from too far down though, you dont want 8 in tall clones in your tray , they fall over and bend and stuff. try to keep the clone a few inches long. Then the bottom two outgrowths you cut from can regrow into 4 new branches instead of 2.

I knew this would come up :P My signature used to say, "Paraphrased from Ben Franklin", however it took up too many lines at that point. I like my version better.
