can ants hurt plants at all.i noticed theres a bunch of them all around my plants i dont know if its cause i put a bar of soap out there to get animals away or what

unless you found some leaf cutter ants i believe they have some in the southern us! that would kill your ladies for sure most ants are fairly harmless!

My Catnip suffered horribly from ants, they don't directly nor purposefully attack the plant, but if they build their palaces under your plant, it's roots will likely be fucked.
