Ants won't directly harm your plants, but they can farm aphids. They literally find them in your yard, carry them to your plant, and line them up in rows. Then they feed on the aphids poop.

Wash your plants regularly with soap and water and apply a horticultural oil (neem, sesame, tea tree, etc) to the leaves every few weeks. The ants will get annoyed and look for other plants to farm on.

posted a video here on my lil stoner ants.. they appeared to be harvesting something from the trunk of one of my Bubba's.. they caused no harm and have pretty much stopped hanging out and getting high on my supply.

way I saw my problem was
20 ants is all that hung out getting high..
ants eat bugs I watched a few of em going after some aphids I had on a pumpkin plant and left em alone

SEVIN sprinkled around your plants will keep most varieties of ants away, and is safe for edible food, just recommended not to apply directly to plants within last 2 weeks of eating.
If that doesn't work, build a moat! LOL
