Any experienced auto growers

Hey guys I am thinking about trying an auto flowering strain with a cycle of around 8 weeks so that I can plant 2 then wait about 4 weeks and plant another two and keep up a cycle of harvesting every 4 weeks or so. I have grown great plants before with satisfying results but I have no experience with autos.

My setup is a 4 x 4 tent with passive intake and 5 inch outlet with a carbon filter and 400watt HPS.
I'm planning on putting another 400 beside it (1 light over 2 plants).

I would really appreciate any opinions if this is an efficient way of growing and if so what strain would be best for the room I have. I have auto seeds' auto pounder in mind but I'm not sure about space.
Also would it be worth doing a SCROG grow.

Thanks in advance :)

autos contain ruderalis which is less potent than either indica or sativa and they usually do not seem to put out a good bud to leaf ratio (leafy plants) or pack on much weight....its my opinion that if you have grown with good results you should continue to use regular beans and just control your light cycles to better accomidate the harvest times you would like. i dont believe you will find auto strains that will go from bean to harvest in only 8 weeks anyway..takes around 3-4 before it starts flowering and at least another 6-8 for flowering so your looking at around ten weeks or so as an average for a full cycle...again ive only run a couple autos so someone correct me if im wrong!

Kermit's right on, except the potency part. A lot of autos are stated to contain slightly lower thc levels, but at this point, many auto strains have been crossed enough and potency and sex is pretty on point. Or so I've read. I've smoked some auto NL, and it was some of the dopest dope I've ever smoked. But yeah, auto's are usually a bit smaller, and I've seen most autos that are single cola plants. And you can run into a lot of problems like a couple autos aren't flowering, and you'd want to flip to 12/12 or something like that for a tad to induce flowering. And even though auto's have been crossed and bred and potency and sex and certain other things are pretty on point, I think photo period plants are better and more "accurate" of their description. And with photo period plants, you have a bit more options with it, you can veg out for a bit and get a nice even canopy, top it, clone it, etc. Lastly... if you have a seperate veg box, autos are perfect for that. Just throw em in your vegging clones or what not.

Sorry my thoughts are all over the place lol.
