any homemade hydroponic mediums?

Ive heard of people using aquarium gravel. Its not "homemade" and i also wouldn't really recommend it but hey, why the fuck not. Its cheap and its possible that you could have some laying around your house (or a friends house) lol.

I use fish tank gravel with no problems for 18 months now,I live where there are no hydro shops and yea I had it laying around.its natural stone not the colored stuff,and there around a 1/4 inch in diameter with some a little bigger,I start in 1 1/2 x1 1/2 inch rockwool. works for me and I bet its easyer to clean than hydroton

wow...canada uis a great place then for even more reasons. ya if you own a home you pay once a year. i rent so its free. if were concerned on the cost why are we growing
