Any suggestions how I could make these jars more airtight ?

1litre jars hold about 2 ounces I have 8 of them but with closer observation they aren't airtight at all the humidity is the same as the room with different testing it seems to sit the same .

My initial thought is to tape the around the lip but could really do with something more concrete . The reason I'm using these jars is they are pretty much the only jar of 1 lite which fit into the rack inside a cabinet

Get mason jars and store in a cardboard box. I can’t really see a convenient way to do it if you’ll be needing to burp. Tape would probably work but what a pita

I agree that modifying to make it air tight would be a serious pain and probably not work like you want.

I’d go Mason and stick with the food grade. I made the mistake of getting some ‘craft & other’ jars Mason makes and the lids made my bud smell like plastic. I even confirmed it by putting that bud in food grade and the smell returned to normal after a few weeks. I’m never using anything else again.

There’s lots he could do to seal but to have something he can burp/open and reseal is the dilemma I think. If not then hell anything could seal it

If your vac just seals and doesn’t have a way to stop the vac and seal, I’d put the jar in the bag as to not squish bud too much but tomato tomatoe I guess

Actually I think you’ll have to do the jar inside to maintain the rh right? If you suck the air out of bag w weed what does that do to rh? No air no rh ? Lol not sure now

Add some tape around the cap to make a snug fit. Or tape half of them with painters or maybe electric tape to verify if you have sealing problem. Continue with tape or another solution if needed.

Yea I'm starting to think the bag inside might be a bit too condensed and restrictive in there not enough air flow

Hey guys. I use to use plastic lunch wrap over the top of jar and then screw lids over plastic. Not sure if it be any help cause I see the lids u have already have a seal on it. Just something to think about

They’re push in with a cheap plastic seal. That’s the issue , it’s a canister not a jar . 1 us qt is .946 liter. I’d say grabbing some mason/canning jars is still your best bet

I wish it was always that easy lol. It’s getting better but they were pretty hard to find around these parts for quite awhile.
