Hey, Was recently told that a good reflective material is mylar first off will this create hot spots and if not where would I go to buy mylar?

you can get it at the dollar store its called polywrap, in the wrapping paper section.

It's the backside that is shiny silver.

I've discovered the cheapest Mylar around-- only 2 bucks$! You save 18 bucks$ a roll! It?s a Christmas present wrapping Mylar called Polywrap

- Waterproof
- 50 square ft. a roll
- 1 mil (@ .001 inch) thick X 3 1/2 ft. wide X 20ft long.

Note: Only buy the very Bright and shiny Mylar-type wrapping!

Any gift wrap will do just make sure it is foil wrap and is water proof and has a shiny silver side to it. Found lots of it at my dollar store. $1 for 15 feet.

The mylar has to be perfect though, completely flat no stretches no folds or creases otherwise it could create hotspots. Flat white paint isnt as reflective but your not going to get any problems with hotspots

Check any party supply store or Michael's craft store or any craft store. Super cheap and widely available. I paid $3.99 for 15 sheets of 30"X30". I could have paid 1/2 that if I knew Michaels has a 50% coupon every Sunday in the paper.

Instead of getting getting it in pacs get it in a roll. That way there are no ceases or folds. And it's one long piece.
