Ever since the CV showed up in the US and the politicians decided to try shutting down our economy things have gotten worse in terms of online retail. Although I must admit, I've not actually taken a hit with online purchases all throughout the pandemic. Mostly USPS or FedEx delays but even that seems to have cleared up as of late since the pandemic is now over and has been for a while. Occasionally I still see online vendors trying to keep using the CV excuse for slowing down operations, so long as they're still getting orders they're still getting money. As of today though, the only online vendor that's actually stiffed me out of hundreds of online purchases over the last 2 years is 420packaging. At the time I bought there were a few ridiculous deals which I took advantage of (or thought I was anyway). Not a big order by any means, and from the looks of it this place did more B2B than to individuals. At any rate, the gist of the post is that it looks like these people are on life support and are not shipping merchandise. They're still taking orders and money but they're not responding to emails, not answering the phone or returning calls. No information on their website stating they're behind on shipping, so people will continue to order. A smart person would root around the site to see what shipping times looks like, which is a quick turnaround. But about a week later you may get an electronically generated email blast saying they're sorry, they "hear you" and feel bad that they're not shipping anything out. And they also offer a 20% off coupon in the email as well. Personally I see this as another attempt to take more money from stupid people. They claim a 1 day turnaround (same day in the "we're sorry" email), then a week later when nothing is shipped they try getting you to give them more money again, without ever receiving your prior orders.
So rather than cry, it wasn't much cash anyway, we do what we do and let others know our experience. In my case it was great prices, being listed on RAW's website as an authorized dealer and the quick shipping they claimed. What brought me here was the fact that they have not responded to any form of communication for the last 2 weeks, other than the I'm sorry email trying to get more money from past customers. Since they don't respond to anything this appears to be a scam, the last few chumps who are willing to give away more money when they haven't gotten what they've already ordered. There are people that will fall for that I'm sure, though not me.
I don't see them as a supporting vendor here, nor are there many hits in the search function so they don't appear to be supportive of RIU.
Just my experience. As they've taken my cash and ignored all contact I'm putting them in the ripoff category of a business that's likely gone or will be soon.
