So this is a local hydro stores website, and Im thinking about getting this package deal, comes with all the pumps tubing everything you need, 1000w hps and ballast. I tried pricing it if I build it myself and cant seem to do it as cheap once I add in the light, ballast, and reflector. Plus the ease of not having to go search for all the parts its all there for you easy to put together with tech support. Even has a nice "controller" feature so as the plants use up the nute mix, and the water level drops a float it will automatically fill the buckets back up with fresh mix.

Not sure where exactly you are, but if you're close to the area you should check that guys shop out. I used to use TXH, but after getting better prices at JGH, i'll probably never go back.

Also, I used one of those 8 packs before. I didn't really like how little control over the PH/PPM I had without having to lift up the buckets to check or drain out all the nutes.

its a good deal, but if you have a fire because there is no glass on the reflector that will be very expensive. Glass on the reflector is a required safety issue IMO. Also do you have a plan to keep the temp down? because that hood has no cooling system. See if you can get a cool tube and a flood tray for the same $$.

lol at 2 things. In my opinion, no. One, your location sais "wouldnt u like to kno!" and in your post it sais local hydro shop with texas in the link lol..
And you can build you a setup a lot cheaper. Start at lowes and make a list of what you need. Since your in TX, look at your craigs list and ebay. Living in Tx, there are alot of hydr/parts in the area. And you still nead inline fan, carbon filter, fans, ext. But if your not up to the challenge than you can buy the kit. Im just saying that i personally threw don 550 ish, i would build one myself... also look into vert, it can be cheap if you look around and use effort. Heres my build

600 watt hps, ballast- $100 on craigslist
cool tube(candle holder)-8.99 at hobby lobby
inline fan325cfm-$25 off a old motor home
300 gph pump-$23 at lowes
4 rubber maids tubs, pvc pipe 1/4 inch, misters-$55 lowes

thats 210 give or take... thers some I missed, but as you see you if you do some home ork youll see you can save some bux..
