I would only flush if there was a buildup of nutrients in the medium. If that's not the case I would probably just give it straight water but this too is only if it's called for.
pH can make a difference here and while soil usually provides a buffer, a soil with pH well outside the desired range can cause nutrient uptake issues and this displays just like a deficiency. This is just one example, unfortunately without more info on what happened and how you got here it makes it hard to determine.
All sorts of things can cause yellowing but I can tell you it is something to do with something happening in the root zone because of the location of the yellowing. It's probably not light burn. Personally I start with logical small changes and work from there but I also know all my info.
