does anyone use rain water for indoor grows? i caught 5 gallons of it but dont know if i should use it, im getting a ph tester today. right now im using distilled. also i mixed my big bag of FFOF with some MG perlite from lowes into a big rubbermaid container with a lid on it after i used it in my pots (with plants) then i looked at the perlite bag a little closer and in the fin fucking print it says its enriched with MG nutrients or some shit...PLEASE tell me its not a time release of some sort and my ladies will not be affected, should i stop giving them nutes for the mean time? please help!!

i did not know rain water was good, good idea boys. as for the time release nutrients. i bought the same stuff and found out through many posts that MG is bad bad bad. Because its time release, youll never get an accurate amount of nutrients and as you water it is giving out more and more nutrients that could potentially stunt the growth and/or over nutrient it and die. just what i have gathered about MG from other users. It makes sense tho. I bout some big grow by FF and some happy frog for flowering by FF. So far the big grow has done its job well.

I use rain water. I set up a 18 gallon tote and installed a 18" airstone and a 30 gal aquarium filter. I collect rain water in 5 gal buckets, transfer to one gal water jugs and pour into the tote and allow the filter to remove anything undesireable in the water. I toss in PH tablets once every 2 weeks, to maintain a PH of 7. Rainwater is awesome, it has no metals or chemicals in it. Stop feeding your plants. The FFOF is hot as it is. the perlite will be fine, just flush the plants every 3 weeks. I use MG perlite with their MG organic choice soil and I get great results. You can go without supplemental feeding for about 4 weeks.

Ya that MG perlite has MG nutes in it not sure how strong they are but I hear to stay away from it. I would say just keep a close eye on the ladies. How long have they been in the mix with the MG perlite in it? Id say just carry on as usual just keep an eye on ph if possible (if you have a meter) and possibly go a little lighter on your nutes if you are adding any of them especially if they are chemical nutes I would go easier on them and keep on eye on the leafs for signs of burn or deficiency. Good luck and throw the rest of that bag out and dont ever buy it again! ;)

thanks alot guys...i already mixed the ffof soil and the mg perlite together so i guess thats 30 bucks down the shitter..or trash can...im not gonna use the mg nutes that i bought (all purpose plant food...yeah yeah yeah fox farm all the way, but its severly over priced where i live and havnt gotten it yet) so im gonna stop on the extra nutes and just see what happens with whats already in the soil...these are bag seeds so i really dont care that much. i have some seeds coming from attitude anyway...maybe i will just sift the soil/perlite mix i have to get the perlite out idk. thanks agian
