Aphids discovered - help 5 weeks from harvest

My Purple Haze & White Widow are in their 4th week of blooming. They are in 5 gal containers 4 -1/2 & 3 1/2 feet respectively. Grown in Fox farm soil. They were initially started outside but once 12/12 cycle was initiated, they only get about 3 hours of direct outside sun and back inside they come until it's time for bed. (spoiled girls) Anyway, just noticed a crusty looking crystal buildup on buds located on lower branches that were not trichs. A closer look revealed aphids hiding headfirst in the buds. Got tweezers and picked about (12 total) nasty things off both plants. The majority were on the Haze. Will neem oil work or will it hurt my buds at this late phase or is there something else that works better? I will be inspecting closely on a daily basis from here on out.

Sorry to hear you have them nasty bugs!

Ladybugs, or ladybirds as we call them in the UK are the answer to your problem.

They wont eat your plants but they love them Aphids!

You can either find them in your garden or out on walks, or you can find sites online that sell them. A quick google search will find you your nearest supplier of them.

Try not to release them into the wild as they may kill off local bugs that are important to the ecosystem.

But just don't use any chemicals on them, as its way too late in your grow to put bad stuff on the plants.
