Apocalyptic Blueberry

Hi everybody!

After my first successfully grow I am back with a new project. Hopefully more prepared this time. Due to the nature, the review and curiosity I chose the Dutch Passion Blueberry.


Dutch Passion Blueberry is a mostly Indica (80% Indica, 20% Sativa) strain, that dates to the late 1970’s. The Blueberry is a large producer under optimum conditions. A dense and stout plant with red, purple and finally blue hues, that usually cure to a lavender blue. The finished product has a very fruity aroma and taste of blueberry. It's Cannabis Seeds produce a notable and pleasantly euphoric high of the highest quality and is very long lasting. Medium to large calyxes. Dutch Passion Blueberry has a long shelf life. 4 times cup winner!

I chose Miracle Grow - expand 'n gro.

I have previous experience with MG and had good results. Only 2 problems with the classic MG - gnats which I managed and it needs Ca after some time.

So, to make a long story short, yesterday I've done the wet paper towel thing at around 2 pm. Today when checked, a small root was coming out so I decided to put it in soil under one CFL of 35 w just for some light.(I will keep it under 24/24 until the plant will break the soil and after I'll change it to 18/6)


My last grow was with a lot of 35 w but this grow I bought myself a present and I am waiting for it, it's a nice 105 w CFL + lamp. Hopefully next week I'll have it.

Day 2, no new change, temp ~ 23-24 C

Day 3 - The sprout is starting to break the soil. I removed the transparent kitchen foil that was covering the pot. The soil is still moist, temp constant to 24 C. Watering maybe in the evening or tomorrow morning.

Just wanted to check on her earlier and had the pleasant surprise to find out that she just wake up. I will let her today on the 24/0 and from tomorrow I'll switch it on 20/4

Watering tomorrow when the lights will be off for 4 hours. I will try to do my best not to over water. I am a bit nervous with this grow cause I want to take it to the next level, I want to include some topping and LST and since I don't have any previous experience in doing that...but I know for sure that I'll have help and guidance with rollitup. Day 4 - everything looks great. I've started the 20/4 with the light. Temp is constant at 24 C. I've gave it a good watering. At the moment I have just one light, it's a 35 or a 38 w DL. I am thinking to put the Y connecter thou and give it a bit more light. My 105w lamp will only arrive on the 4th so until then I have to play with what I got. I'll come with new pics next Sunday or Monday. Till then I'll try to post every day my moves and thinking about the new life that grows in my pot.
PS I am really happy in finding an old good friend and knowing that he is still around on rollitup! Lime, all the best man!!

Top work mate, been looking for a DP Blueberry journal as ive got a few beans and want to see how they go first. Im waiting to take cuttings of a NLxBb plant for a scrog later in the year! Love blueberry

I am thinking...my setup is in a wardrobe and from what I know, usually the blueberries are not big girls...thinking to put another one to grow 2 at the same time. Need some advice on this. Compared with my previous grow...it was a john doe seed and I let it for about 55+ days in vegetative stage, so she developed quite a big one, for the blueberry, I will let it no longer than 4-5 weeks max and after I'll switch it to 12/12 so she will be a bit smaller and as I mentioned, I am planning to LST and top it.

Day 5 from seed - it's getting slowly bigger. Soil still moist, temperature is constant. Plan - continue same

Day 6 from seed - looks well, soil still moist, temperature constant. Happy that I found out an indoor growing shop has opened in my city and I'll visit it once this holy days will end. Looking to buy some C02 pills or something similar and a humidity meter and maybe a ventilator.
My question is still out there, I've measured the closet and it's 150 high to the hanging bar and 54 cm on 87 cm. I remember my last grow, it was a different closet but at about same sizes and I had only one plant and it got very wide. I don't know if 2 plants will have enough space in this one...waiting opinions.

I've decided to germinate another seed. So after 24h I'll put it in soil and I'll go with 2 plants this time.

That's one SEXY CFL lol. eBay?

And where are you from lad?
And while your plants are still really young, the best thing you can do for them is LIFTA.
Water them every 4/5days(maybe 3/4), but be don't be overzealous.. And I would keep that CFL like an inch away at all times like after the first week. Cram as much like as you can without it getting too hot. You can put the fan them on now too since they should have a little rigidity.
I tanked in Miracle grow once so I know that you gotta be easy with it. But since you've had success I can't really advise you. Nor can I about you space. Just know that it all depends on what your growing.

If you just cant resist playing with your plants lol then try gently tapping the stem whenever you're near them. I read in Growing Marijuana Elite that is helps in promoting rooting. Not saying its a fact, but it's in the book and I did it...Why not right?
And start LST after you have a few leaf sets but not before than.

Hi man, many thanks for dropping by and for the advices ! I am planning to search a fan for them as soon as possible. My last grow was very basic, no fan, just soil, pot, seed and CFL's and the closet. But I want to create a good good life for my plants and maybe last time I got lucky. So on my priority list is a fan and some C02 bags/pills and I'll try finding a humidity meter as well.
I know I have to be very careful with them and not over water. MG is a different type of soil. Every time I am watering, it releases the nutrients and the pH is oscillating. Hopefully I will not get any burns om the little ones.
Regarding the light...not from eBay, found them at a local store, and they were the only DL bulbs that they had. 35 or 38 I can't remember and I got about 5 of them + couple of warm light for the flowering.
I am waiting now for my 105w CFL lamp. Due to this period of the year, the post is working a bit slow and the parcel will arrive only next week at the end, so until them I have to deal with what I have.
Last time I didn't do any LST or topping or super crop on the plant but I am planning to do that with this 2 blueberries once they'll grow a bit more.

Day 7 from seed - it's doing well, soil still moist, temp constant. No issues. The seed that I've started germinating yesterday, swelled up, no crack yet. I guess in the evening I'll plant it.

It's all love lad. Just keeping it irie.

But yeah man, you have NO IDEA how much of a difference its make to have a fan since you don't have one.
Long story short, I'm cooling like 30 CFLs at the moment with 1 small oscillating fan, and 2 of those CFLs are 105w. Wal-mart, eBay and Lowes have been the cheapest at about $15 that I've found. Last week I also got 3 6pks of 26w(100w equiv) 2700k CFLs at 1650lumens for $2.00 a pop at wal-mart(18 CFLs for $6.00). I haven't found a deal anywhere near this anywhere else so there you go for some more cheap bulbs.
Got my exhale c02 bag from eBay for $35. Last for 6 months so I'd say about $6 a month for some c02 is worth it.

Back to the sack for a bit damn! Can't wait to change my light schedule from 7pm-7am so I get that extra undisturbed hour of sleep pfff

Here is my 2 cents, dont feed them miricasl grow nutes, just dont, just water and give them alittle calcium in 45-60 days.

Blue berry is a lite feeder, and i see so many people ruin the taste with chemicals. the mirical grow soil has plenty of nutes in it atleast plenty of N-P-K.

water only will give u super tastey nuggets. Yeah u could feed it and get alittle more weight, but I would rather smoke 20 grams of dank than 24 grams of shit.

I have grown blueberry weed and when it is done right it is AMAZING.
