Are all hydro stores 420 friendly?

I live in a liberal city in the liberal state of New York, however we still don't have medical MagicJack. I didn't even know we had a hydro store here until I drove by the other day and accidentally noticed it. I gotta pick up some rooting / cloning hormone and neem oil. I guess what I'm wondering is: do hydro store employees / owners know that 95% of people that buy shit from them aren't growing tomatoes hydroponically?

Their website says

"[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]Each of our staff members has at least 20 years retail experience with growing plants and 12 years in the hydroponics business. Many of our staff members have multiple degrees and certifications in teaching and plant sciences."

Is going in and chatting it up about my plants a bad idea with these people, or is it safe because they assume and understand everyone is growing the herb?

theres a great hydro store on the lie in the queens area. its a great place and the guys in there.....well they know whats going on and as long as u dont mention marijuana they will be glad to answer any questions about everything. Cash is prefered but they take credit (take down ur info on ur id, told me they had alot of credit fraud so this is like insurance they dont get ripped). idk if ur close by to that or not, but all in all i think all hydro stores know whats going on but as long as u dont mention it ur fine

Nah, I'm in upstate NY, like 4 hours away from the city. I'm sure they all know what the shit they sell is used for, I just didn't want to go in there, ask a question about my tomato plants, and actually get an answer about tomato plants. If I wanted tomato's I would go to Taco Bell.

taco bell still uses tomatoes? on what all i ever get is lettuce
I'm not sure, all I ever get is chicken quesadillas and Baja Blasts, was just trying to humorously say that if I wanted tomato's I'd go buy them rather than waste perfectly good lighting, soil, and space for a couple pounds of tomato's.

Dang I thought this whole site was about tomatos.

Even on here I just talk about plants and flowers and vegging heat and nutes.

When i go to the hydro store I talk the same way. Some stores will talk openly others are a bit more careful.

Kinda like a bong is a water pipe and a hash press is a pollen press.

I think you are gonna find that the store owners will be telling their employees to forget the word marijuana from their vocabulary on the day after the prop 19 vote.

"Humboldt Hydro" have been known to document your license plate numbers. They have a great big sign written in what appears angry crayons about prop 215. Id never use a credit card there, Those people are fucking crazy.

Well when Barrack sends the troops to bust all you legal people in November you can be sure he wont leave the hydro stores out of it so be careful what you say to anyone.

I just go and act cool! I go in there looking for what I already need, I've never been asked what I was growing and I always use cash no matter what. I hate leaving a trail with my card!
