Are Ladybugs OK?

It got warm today in Michigan, about 60 I guess and I spotted a couple ladybugs on the sunnyside wall, so I grabbed them and put them in a ziploc. I heard that they were good for an indoor garden because they will catch and eat any tiny bugs that will damage the plants. Is this true?

I wanted to double check before cutting them loose.

Thanks. :)

lol you found a couple? Last month I look in my vegbox cfl reflectors and there is about 50 of them burnt to the bulbs. Not sure how they get in but they do. All Northern MI has had an overpopulation of them along with the Asian ones that bite. Make sure they have 2 white dots on them that look like eyes, those are harmless. There are still a couple crawling around the bud box I am not sure how long one can live there is a lot of ladybug skeletons around lol.

Other bugs find their way in too. I just found this one burnt to the light and knocked it off this morning.

Anyone know what it is??

Wonder if it is dangerous to the plants because if one can make it in so can others.
