TL;DR –I have 10 plants (4 strains) in a 4x4 tent. All were from feminized seeds purchased (early April 2020) from Canuk Seeds (True North Seedbank) planted May 7. I am convinced that the Jack Herer must be an autoflower, but wonder about 2 of the other strains as well (Afghan Hash and Obi Wan Kush). The Green Crack is WAY behind the rest. I know that technically it may not “matter” in that I should harvest based on trichomes anyways. I want to learn what happened, and also figure out if I should be flushing already when I have been feeding.

Miscellany
• First grow in 20 years.
• Planted May 7 ; Vegged for 5 weeks ; Flipped to 12/12 on June 10
• Today is Day 78 (Day 42 since 12/12 Flip)
• HP Pro Mix, Advanced Nutes phPerfect (just the basic nutes, plus Big Bud for weeks 3-5 of flower)
• 2 gallon fabric pots
• Plants were in 4x2 tent under 2x HLG 135w rspec for first 5 weeks, then moved to a 4x4 tent w HLG 550v2 rpec since then.
• No environmental details that should be too relevant to my questions (I have AC, Humidifier in veg, dehuey in flower, great air flow)
• Feed, Feed, Flush (every other day). CalMax with feedings. Ph adjusted in a range from 5.5-6.5 (varied on purpose) (so for example, feed Monday, feed Wednesday, flush Friday). Feedings have been 75-100% of mfr. recommended, resulting in EC of 800-1,300ppm (500 scale)
• Overall for first grow I think things have gone quite well and plants overall have been healthy.
• Currently the Green Crack (biggest plants, but least mature) are drinking ~900ml/day.
• Currently the Obi Wan Kush are drinking ~700ml/day.
• Currently the Afghan Hash are drinking ~700ml/day.
• Currently the Jack Herer (smallest plants) are drinking ~600ml/day. I have been flushing the Jack Herer for 2 weeks as it was yellowing and clearing starting to finish.
• I was not watching for pre-flowers at all during veg (although I have since gone back over photos I took at the time) as I just assumed that I had feminized photoperiods like I ordered.
• I contacted Canuk Seeds support JULY 5 re the Jack Herer and they have not replied (ticket shows on my account)

Obi Wan Kush Feminized (there are no such thing as an auto version of this seed, but it seems close to mature at week 6 of flower?) – https://www.canukseeds.com/obiwan-kush-feminized-seeds-canuk-seeds [Flowering Time 8-9+ weeks per Canuk Seeds Website]
Afghani Hash Feminized – https://www.canukseeds.com/afghan-hash-plant-feminized-seeds-canuk-seeds-elite-strain [8-9 weeks]
Green Crack Feminized - https://www.canukseeds.com/green-crack-feminized-seeds-canuk-seeds
[website does not list a time but note that this is their own version of Green Crack “Green Crack is very similar to the Afghani strain, except we chose an earlier flowering Skunk to make the cross and to ensure that our Green Crack finishes that bit earlier than Afghani both indoors and outdoors.” . Also note that “producing slightly shorter, darker, broader plants with” ;; online searches seem to indicate 7-9 weeks flowering time]
What I Expected
Based on the information on the Canuk Seeds website, I expected these plants to mostly mature in the same time window with Jack Herer being longer than the others.
What I Observed
All through veg, the Jack Herer were the tallest and lankiest plants, and I took this to be the expected expression of its Sativa nature. I *did* notice some white pistils on this plant during VEG, but did not think anything of it.
It was around the start of July (week 9 total / week 4 of flower) when I realized it was obvious the Jack Herer was moving towards finishing. The leaves were coming off, the hairs turning orange. I realized I must have an auto, and started flushing the plant at the end of the first week of July. Jack Herer, the fastest growing of my plants, by the start of July was the smallest plant, drinking less than the rest.
Now that I have hit the end of week 11 (end of week 6 flower) it seems the Afghan Hash and Obi Wan Kush are getting pretty darn close. Given that these strains were advertised as 8-9 weeks I think this maybe is not totally unexpected, but whats really throwing me off is how relatively immature the Green Crack plants are. Remember that they were described as “earlier flowering” and “shorter plants”. Well, they are the tallest, most robust, and drink the most. But the buds are not even close to mature compared to the rest of the plants.
Like I said, I guess it doesn’t really matter per say, but I am really curious to figure out whats happened. Were my expectations out of whack? Did I get seeds that are other than what was advertised to me? How close do you think my Afghan Hash and Obi Wan Kush are – should I be flushing them now? When would you harvest them.
MANY MANY thanks for your time! Fucking loving this hobby!

Above – day 10 of flower. Notice how big the flowers are on the Jack Herer in the back of the tent already. It was still the tallest plant but was tucked under the trellis in this photo. In front of the Jack Herer is Green Crack which as you can see shows no flowers at all.
