Are these arrays any good for supplemental UV & deep red?

I've got £200 worth of these in my 'ebay basket', are they worth the investment?

I'm specifically looking at the full UV (385-415nm) and the grow (photo red), they are updating the page, so info is a little vague at the mo, but I'm pretty sure they're all cree leds

These are for supplementing cxb3070's 3500k, would I run these on the same light cycle as the cobs or do the uv in the middle of the 'day' and deep red at the end of the day? meaning separate drivers, timers etc?

Any help would be much appreciated.

This aint even UVA light, so it is only a waste of ur money.
What you are looking for is UVB at 315-280 nm.

Errrr, think I'll wait for further opinions on that one, I'll take it in mind, just that I'd have to go a diff route to get that low on the spectrum, don't think led's are available for that yet

They are but are VERY expensive
I know, they would fit my build much better than adding cfl's though and my limiting factors in growing are heat dissipation and unusually high power consumption(in the eyes of the power provider), as opposed to expense. I'll look into some way of mounting some kind of t5 fixture for the uv as an alternative. Think I'd have to buy a light, deconstruct it and mount the ballast and sockets for the tubes direclty onto my frame........so achievable I suppose.

Any suggestions for alternative options for the deep red?

Sorry, I don't do the deep red thing

I recently saw some lights that said they included UVB at a trade show. Another guy on here found their website. cirrusledgrowlights.com. They said at the show they would be shipping in late July or early august. They are only taking pre-orders.

Been trying to find more info on UVB. Pretty interested to see if anyone tries these lights out, They looked pretty cool at the show.

I know, I've seen your set up and I'm very impressed with what I've seen. Does your 'tanning booth' set up not have any of the deeper red within its spectrum though?
I have reds but my majority is blue, tis deep blue that grows trics, reds grow plant matter, which is important for over all yield I guess, I'm not a cash cropper so I prefer stronger smoke to higher yielding mids

I've got everything to start the cob side of the build, just need a bit of extended spare time

This is my prototype

The 4 new lights I'm building will be similar to these, but will only have 2 heatsink bars with each bar carrying 4 cobs

That's funny, every bud I've ever smoked from any dispensary was mids at best, most didn't even give me a buzz LOL

You're about as arrogant as they come. How anyone can tolerate you calling their shit mids while turning around and complementing you is beyond me. I haven't smoked mids since the late 90s. It basically vanished off the face of the planet.

Sorry, who ever grew those dispensary mids never complemented me, hell I don't even know em. You must view the world thru some filter or something?

You don't need to supplement those white COBs to grow TOP NOTCH weed. They have enough red and blue. Will adding UV-B, UV-A, violet, deep blue, or red get even better results? That's possible, but you will still grow amazing weed with just the whites as long as you have good genetics and keep the plants healthy. The idea that you need a blue heavy spectrum to get beyond mids quality is complete nonsense. (makes sense considering it's coming from a root boiler) You really don't want to be using the levels of blue RM3 is...

A week or two before chop, can't fully remember, this was an experimental run of my own 1st ever cross of Blueberry and Bubblegum, it's fruity, but quite narco, even though they got chopped a little early (IMO), due to a heavy thrip infestation.

Edit......the light performed well, despite my soil not being quite tuned in, and thrip attack
