Are these dwarf seeds or underdeveloped seeds?

Can anyone tell if these are adult (but small) seeds or if they are just immature and underdeveloped seeds. Also, why do some people have hangups with going straight to soil?

Thanks :joint:

P.S. Oh yeah, anyone think these tiny seeds will sprout and grow?

I will gladly take all the dark ones off you ;) feel free to keep the small deformed looking buggers. Seriously though LOTS of those seeds are going to germinate quickly if you just toss them in some paper towel on a plate covered with a bowl on top of your fridge or computer etc....

Nice score!

Generally large brown seeds are considered "better". But I have had small, puny, white seeds germinate as well. It seems to me that freshness and how gently the seed has been handled are more important issues to consider.

You can start seeds in soil. But, you will improve your success rate by prestarting the seeds on a damp paper towel. Or my preferred method is to start in a cup of conditioned water. Prestarting, or germinating seeds, allows you to orient the tap root sideways or down. The germination can easily die before it orients itself from a random planting in soil.

Those "large brown seeds" are half the size of a normal seed. I'm trying to figure out if they are fully developed or just "midget seeds." I'll try germinating them anyway and see what happens.

I should only need to wet the paper towel once, correct? Also it should only take three days or so for them to come out, correct?

Thanks,

SS

As long as your keep them in a ziplock and in a warm place, yes

make sure you check them frequently, not all seeds germ at the same time

you dont want them to germ too far that they cant be planted
