Are these plants ok?

Day 16 on these two lil plants. Growing in PC towers, and had the lights up off the top for a few days, hence the lanky nature of them.

There's some yellowing/browning on the plants, and want to make sure everything is okay before I transplant them or consider LSTing them.

Temperature has been a constant 21ºC and humidity has been around 65%. Using 4 CFLs right now, with no nutes and generic wal-mart soil. Getting pretty good airflow throughout the box too.

Theyll b fine. Cover those cups with paper tho. Roots dont like exposure to the lights. There is sumthin scientific to it, but I jus waked and baked and u know..

yea bro, cover those clear plastic cups with something so the roots are not getting exposed to light, the light is killing your roots which is not allowing your plant to grow. the roots are as important if not more important than the foilage above ground, and twice as delicate. :leaf:

Get yout lights right up next to the plants (a few cm's away). Does the soil that you bought have added fertilizer? Either cover the cups up or when you start to see rotts transplant into another (non-see through pot.) I use rhizotonic in the first couple of weeks (low NPK rations for root development) After 21 days your roots should be showing at the bottom of those cups. What sort of cfl's have you got?2700 (warm) or 6500 (cool)? Try to get a mix of these, preferably more ratio to 6500 for daylight for vegging.

good luck.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. Had no idea about covering the cups, but makes perfect sense. The lights are also back right over the tops of the plants now. cheers!

make sure sure they are not too close , about 2-3 inch above the top of the plants
so u wont burn them. too far would make the plants stretch , and since its a pc grow , u wouldnt want that .
