Are these two plants ready to bud or can I let them grow more?

Okay so these two are Northern Lights plants vegging under a 600 watt MH with some others. They will be flowering under a 600 watt hps, with the other smaller ones joining them in a few weeks. These are in 3 gallon containters with a soil mixture. I want to grow them as big as possible without being too large for these pots. I won't be transplanting to anything larger. So do you think I should start them flowering now based on the size they are, or can I let them get a bit bigger? It's my first grow, but I did LST them anyways and it seems to have been quite successful.

Personally i would wait a lil longer, how long have the been veging????? Id wait a month month and a half earliest wait till they get a decent size anywhere from 12-18" tall. Looks beautiful btw

you could start to flower but you would be better off to let them get bigger first

nice replies... I have heard the 12 to 18 inch thing, but I didn't know how doing LST would change that. I will let them go a bit longer. They are about a month and a half from seed right now.

i let them go till i have at least 20 tops

just let them grow dude, once they stop growing that means their root bound. thats a good time to flower because they dont have any more room to grow. just dont try to veg for long after they stop growing because it could stress them out

How could that work? Don't the plants double or triple in size while flowering? If they max out while vegging, how will I get any buds?
