I'm just curious if any discussion has been done on the difference in aroma of different plants in flowering and that relation to potency or not?
I've noticed several commonalites myself throughout the years. For instance:
Musky, borderline dank grass, seems to be indica oriented and alright for potency.
Spicy, which is kind of pineish, again, potency is ok, of course all depending on circumstances of the grow.
Skunk. True skunky smell, usually means the skunker the better. I get a skunk plant an it always seem to be top quality smoke. People talk about couch lock. Well, skunk will show you what that means, in my experience.
Most of what has been discussed here is from various bag seed grown.
A friend had a auto, ak47 in flower,it was very piney, never got the pleasure to see what that did to the head. But the aroma was certainly different and distinct.
So, those flavors I've mention are pretty common from what I've seen come out of the ground from me or friends of mine over the years.
Any other experienced growers opinions on this topic. I'd love to hear some comments.
