Just wondering??? I see they have these 60 day seed to harvest strains... they are feminized and can not even buy regular seeds. My question is this, If you are not suppose to clone until a plant is 2+ months old, How do you do a grow with this type of strain?? I can not believe at $10-$20+ dollars a seed that a person would be buying 20,50,100 seeds, and then after 2 months, staring over from scratch and repurchasing every seed again? Any Idea??

You cant clone autos. Or rather you can clone them but the clones are not much use. At $10 a seed you can get 2oz to 4oz per plant depending on how you cultivate and the strain you grow. That's $400 - $1000 per plant every two months! Even at bulk rates, the seed is a small fraction of the value of the harvest. Outside growers might get two grows in a season and probably bigger per plant yiels.
I am harvesting two Greenomatics. One was cut at 60days and 67days from planting the seed! The other a bit longer.

day can be cloned but not worth yo while all mary plants can be clo- maybe not all by you cause sum harder den others to clone but by sumone
so walk wit dis- all mj can be cloned sum harder to clone then others and sum not worth it
i say that to say this- if you have an auto gona have a 8 to 9 week life spectancy on adv right

you take a cut in week 4 1/2 gotta wait 2 weeks for roots now week 6 1/2 you start to flower-stay wit me
now mother and daughter are flowering at the same time -wit me up to here right
autos start to die off most reg plants can live forever -(oops i forgot )
so now mother and daughter flower and die at same time -point to dis would be what

As I understand it, autos are on a fixed internal clock. You can't use photoperiod to manipulate them. A clone will be the same age as the mother and will flower and finish at the same time. You cant give her extra veg time. Never tried it. Just what I read.

Great advice guys. I felt the same way about the price and they were not feminized and my first auto flower grow produced only 3 females so I did a seed run with them and got about 1,000 seeds off the three little girls. A few months later I grew off nearly 100 from those seeds. I did a lot of experimenting with the seeds, trying to see what variables improved seed germination. One thing I want to warn you about is stressing them; don't do it. I started mine off in party cups and when I transplanted them, some died and most of the rest stopped growing. I had one little plant - fully mature - that was only 2" tall. My next batch is going to be the Iranian Autos; I've heard good things about them. BTW, if someone is getting 2 zips per plant, they are a ganja growing god!!

Yield per plant depends on the size and strain of the plant, among other things. I've vegged plants for 5 weeks and scrogged them in 7ga buckets. Got several ounces per plant. But with autos I'm not sure how that goes. You have no control over veg time but you do have choice of medium and container size. Pandora is considered a good yielder. The blurb says up to 100g per plant. But under what conditions?

The Iranian Autos that I am considering are from Doctor Greenthumb. They're pricey, but I've heard good things. I'll check out Pandora too. 100g on an auto smells like BS to me. But then, most seed companies make outrageous claims. I remember seeing one claim of 80% THC, LOL!!! Can you imagine, 80% frosty crystals and 20% green plant matter? Maybe they hired Advanced Nutrients ad agency.

Yeah I'm growing his C99 & Endless sky right now. He has Big Laughing Regular on sale for $150. I can't resist that. I don't mind paying his prices. Quality costs. But I grow 5-10 plants in a closet perhaps two of each strain. It hurts to have buy $200 worth of C99 just to grow two.
