Auto Pots Wick system

Hello, All I was doing a bit more research and i came across the wick system, as of now i am using autopots just about to start my second grow, The problem with autopots being a bottom feed system from what i hear is that you cannot plant Seedlings/clones directly into them because the roots will not reach the nutes, my proposed idea is to add a wick just like the wick system running through my coco coir/perilite to where i plant to let the babies reach thier nutrients does anyone have any problems with this idea? Do you think it will work?

It's worth a shot I guess,...wait, are you talking about doing this for the life of the plant, or just on the little ones?

Well I am using auto pots for the life of the plants, but i will end up just leaving the wick in the system, whats the point of disturbing the roots if i don't need to correct? The need for the wick is just for the seedlings/ clones in the pot i will just have the wick going up to he planting site to wet the surrounding media.

For the sproutlings, it might be beneficial, this could help with the all too common over-watering issues that so many new-b's face.
