Auto Sweet Tooth (Wk 9)

Hey gang, this is my first grow of Auto Sweet Tooth and I have experienced a few surprises.. first, i'm growing hydro and the plant has reached 90 cm when barney's said its max height is 50 cm haha!

Also, it didn't start flowering until wk 5 so it took a lot longer than the easy ryder i previously grew. I'm going to have a solid harvest, but I think I might be getting way less than I could have?! The buds look great but they aren't as thick as I thought they'd be.

I'm growing with only CFLs as well (closet stealth setup... or at least it was before plant grew out the top of it aha), could this be why the plant got so tall? Anyone who has experience with Auto sweet tooth or hydro please let me know what you think. I'm considering doing soil as my medium next time to keep plants smaller and buds more dense.

If you want bigger colas and denser nugs, you need more intense light. Try HID or LED. Cfl's only bathe to the plant in soft light. Cfl's leave the buds smaller and airy. You seem to be doing well for hydro! I prefer soil.

you could always use a smaller container 3 gal bubble boy or a autopot one of the smaller ones maybe i dunno just tossin that out there thing is if your using alot of perlite then its basically a drip timer away from hydro i mix perlite sagaphm moss and a coco based indoor soil and hand feed nutes 3 times a week flush every other week and repeat they get kinda big still if you add a airstone at the bottom of the pot they go bonkers even more so with the autos

Your DWC is working great, you need more light like Smoken says. DWC is the fastest way to grow, dirt will be slower.
