18/6 or 24 hours either or if it's outside more than six hours as a minimum ideally the more the better though bud

Try and measure the DLI. Since autos can have 2x as much light they can do with less intensity. If the intensity is too high they burn/yellow out middle/late flower.
I usually run them 20/4, saves a bit of electricity and still get decent yields with lovely bud quality

The great thing about cannabis is that it will grow at light levels between ~60µmol and ~1000µmol. Autos will thrive at 1kµmol and you can run them 24/0 from drop to chop, if you want. It really comes down to what the grower wants from the plants.
