Somewhere there should be the square to round connector. If all else fails then use aluminum tape...my favorite tape!
Nice DIY carbon filter!
Good Luck!

Or you could go to Menards and buy the fittings to go from 4" to 6" and then 6" to 8". It would probably cost less. VV

VV- naw the outlet on my carbon filter flan is 4''... the axial fan is like 5 1/4 in tall, i think.. and the hole that the fan is in is 4'' so why 4''-6'' 6''-8''?

you are planning to have that as a stand-alone filter in the room and not hook it up to any kind of venting...at least that is what I assumed...I think VV is thinking you are going to use ducting.

well i have to, to conect the filter to the fan, im going to use ducting, and i guess its gonna be a stand alone?
no im not using any in or out vent...YET! im think how i can put some holes in this cab to vent out, but imma use a 250w-hps, how do i keep my room at the 75 degre mark?

You need more than one air system for a grow operation. All of them could be run to the same exit point if the duct going to the outside is big enough to handle the volume. Really just trying to let you know all of the duct fittings can be purchased at the big box stores for less. Insuated flexible ducting cuts down on fan noise as well. VV
