Baby plants dying and seedlings dying in 50/50 Coco

Hi All!

Im struggling with coco,

I overwatered many plants due too a bad batch of coco, I then amended the mix with lots of perlite, my mix is now 50/50 perlite coco.

The plants are looking good but the new growth is lime green, almost yellow but not fully yellow, just very lime/ light green.

Ph ranges from 6.4-5.6

Temps 84-90F

EC 1.2

Pics would help. With a 50/50 coco/perlite mix you should be feeding daily to substantial run off. Your pH is out of range in both directions - try to stay around 6.0 going in and always check your run off. Are you into flowering? Do you ever use plain water? New growth usually appears a lighter green when flowering starts. Pics would help.

A couple of things that may help. Supplement silica to make plant stronger, more resistant to heat stress.

And if you raise relative humidity to match the temp (using vpd chart)...the temps should be a non-issue.

Mold becomes an issue then. But yes your right, thank you!

All my plants look this way including my vegging ones.

Mold becomes an issue when you have too much humidity and the leaves remain wet.

The silica will help with mold resistance too and even more so (for PM) if applied foliarly.

But trying to keep vpd in range and air movement and you should be ok.
